Wireless Phase II Implementation
 

On October 3, 2005 a letter of request was faxed to Bellsouth, requesting implementation of Extended ALI service. We are told to expect 30 days before this service will be provided.

On October 10, 2005 letters requesting Phase II service from local service providers were sent out. These providers have 6 months in which to provide the requested service.


February 10,2006 - Testing started for Alltel Communications. All cell sites were hit, including all sectors of those sites.

Testing completed and Phase II active in Laurens County for Alltel Communications.


March 30, 2006 - Testing started for SouthernLinc. All cell sites were hit, including all sectors of those sites.

Testing completed and Phase II active in Laurens County for SouthernLinc.


April 11, 2006 - Testing started for Verizon Wireless. All cell sites were hit, including all sectors of those sites.

Testing completed and Phase II active in Laurens County for Verizon Wireless.


May 04, 2006 - Testing started for Nextel. All cell sites were hit, including all sectors of those sites.

Testing completed and Phase II active in Laurens County for Nextel.


May 08, 2006 - Testing will begin at 09:00 for Cingular Wireless.


August 14, 2006 - T-Mobile will be coming online on October 31st 2006


August 14, 2006 - Vonage has tested and is now online for VOIP calls.


November 03, 2006 - Testing started for T-Mobile. All cell sites were hit, including all sectors of those sites.

Testing completed and Phase II is partially active in Laurens County for T-Mobile.
