"A plane
crash in 1965 had devastating consequences for Atlanta,
Georgia. On board were city officials and most of the
city's leaders. In one day, the City of Atlanta lost
much of the leadership it had taken years to cultivate
and few people were prepared to step up and take their
place. Learning from this tragedy, cities across the
country formed leadership programs to identify and train
emerging leaders in their communities."
On
Thursday, October 19 the Dublin-Laurens Leadership Class on local law
enforcement was held. This was an opportunity to expose the participants to
some of the work that local agencies do for our area. A brief overview of
the 911 Center was given by Linda Fowler and Marcie Dickerson, followed by
a tour of the facility.
